Korean Puzzle Box Solution
The designer introduced a new gearing mechanism for this design, which allowed for a new puzzle top. Not particularly difficult, but the solution is here, just in case.
Here is the solution.
Hint #1 - I'll be upfront with you, something has got to move.
The base on the front will slide left and right. Slide it to the left. If it splits in two, move both pieces to the left.
Hint #2 - The bottom line is always choose the right side.
Now that the front piece is out of the way, the small bottom right panel will slide forware.
Hint #3 - There's a key to solving this.
Exactly, there’s a key, in the drawer you just revealed. That will open the box (when it’s time).
Hint #4 - Slovenliness wont solve it!
Time to tidy up. You need to put everything back the way it was (except for the key, you’ll need that).
Hint #5 Reread the solution to hint #1
Hint #1 mentioned that the front base can split in two. Make sure it does. Slide the left side all the way to the left, and the right side all the way to the right.
Hint #6 - "Here we are, unstuck in the middle with you"
Rephrasing a song to make it fit. There are five decorative panels in the front of the box. Slide the middle one down between the two base pieces.
Hint #7 - #3 is key to solving this
Hint #3 references a key. You did keep it handy, right? Use it in the keyhole.
